24-25 Auditions

Auditions will be hosted on August 20, 21, and 22 in Spaulding Recital Hall, which is in the basement of Alden Hall. Auditions are required for those looking to play with the WPI Jazz Groups for the first time or those looking to move to a different group.

Audition Requirements

• Two major scales + Bb concert blues scale

• Prepared jazz piece of your choice

• Short sight-reading

• Improvised solo over 12-bar blues in a key of your choice or jazz standard of your choice

• Range check for brass players
